    The term - not in my backyard has been applied to a number of issues, particularly regarding developments in rural locations and other desirable areas. Housing, by-passes, campsites, industry are some issues that have always divided opinion. Now wind farms are doing likewise. The need for cleaner and sustainable energy has meant an acceleration in wind farms. But do they need to be built on land? Do they need to be built in the countryside? Are they really that bad?

    Will the offer of Electric bikes to hire in the Yorkshire Dales be successful or not? The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority are currently looking for feed back on the idea. It seems to me like a good commercial opportunity for businesses in the Yorkshire Dales as they will be looking for places to hire the bikes from as well as places that will act as stations to recharge the bikes.
